OK i am f****d on my homework right now and i need help =/
1. wgt with 4 forces can there be atleast two substantial equilibrium orientations (without changing the magnitude of the forces or their order), when with only 3 frces only one solution is possible?
2. How many different equilibrium orientations are generally avialable with 4 forces?

I took AP physics so here is my answer either right or wrong it's been a few years!
to reach an equilibrium situation 2 forces have to be pulling with equal force on the same point. For the 4 forces question it can have 2 equilibrium points... with 2 forces on each point. See if that helps!

Physics is pretty easy if you have a professor who does in class demonstrations. Answering with a demonstration of how something happens is 100x greater than giving someone a formula for it.
