If someone had asked me about this SL phenomenon a few years ago, I wouldnt believe him. Oh my god, my son got addicted to Second Life and now he is investing there, he is buying clothes, cars and stuff for real money! This is so lame, oh my god! Paying real money for fictional stuff composed of a bunch bits and bytes!

Not only in second life, this is also a growing problem in every other MMORPG! Lots of money is thrown away to some virtual stuff in the games. Personally, I would ban this completely! Think of all that poor children in Africa who dont have enough food, and send the money to them instead!

fer sure, these companys should be shut down, they make the game unfair and its a terrible waste of money.

A terrible waste of money? So if someone spends let's say $20 to buy currency that would take 20 hours to farm, and at their RL job they make $30/hr how is that a waste of money? If people enjoy a game and are willing to spend a little money to make it more enjoyable what's the problem?
