Patching Lineage 2 problem

I have run into patching problem in Lineage 2. I do not know what to do, and even more, I do not why the game needs patching. It is so dumb idea. For me, that means that developers did lousy job, so they are releasing patches for the game. That is why I have problem and maybe I will stop playing the game. I still need to decide what to do.
