Patch download

I cant download the patch on my friends computer...

wtf?

i have the downloaded patch somewhere on my comp but i dont know what files it is... BNUupdate isnt enough.. there's a patch file that goes along with it,..

There's an executable in your base wow directory it has a name that makes it fairly obvious that it's the patch.

i looked into it further, and he didnt even have the file "Patch.MPQ" in his data folder.

so i cut and pasted, and then it started crashing with error 132.

wheeeeee.


so he's now reinstalled 6 times, this most recent tiem with the open beta installer. it patches, and gives him the same error.

"invalid cd key" etc. even though it worked fine two days ago, and he played for hours without a problem.

so now i gave him a different HDD and he's formatting it, installing winxp fresh and trying again...
