No security risk.He made a mistake and a hacker group took him on over it. I am sure he now has his holes plugged, else he would be out of business.
And the site owner is no different than the site owners for every site.
You actually think site owners are altruistic ?
You think extra funds are thrown into a pile for the next month and so on ?
No those additional funds become personal income.
That applies, no matter what is said, to every tracker.
I watched a tracker, over the last year, that pulled in 24,000 Euros. The site costs are 14,900 a year. Now, how come donations are still being asked for ?
Seriously, pull your head out of the sand.

If they can do it...
As long as they don't tear down the site as soon as it has a month where they don't make costs, it's not a big deal to me.

Alright so that bit is a little shady and there is no definite answer for EVERY tracker, even though there is strong speculation that the site is run on a business model... it is still speculation however strongly you feel about it. OK ye... I can accept that, but the fact that the admin account was hacked! That's a security risk, THAT puts every memeber in danger... IPs are logged, you're snatchlist is recorded. I don't want that stuff being exposed, however minor the consequences. If he was that uncautious that he used the SAME password for most of his accounts, I would say that's a dodgy admin. I have sites more secure than that.
