3 weeks + and SOE hasn't done JACK SHIT to fix the problems their patches have caused.... I am thinking about organizing a cross-server/gamewide "sit in" to protest their NON EXISTANT customer service and general lack of concern for our ability to play the game we have all payed A LOT Of money to play.
My idea is this .. EVERYONE cancells their account and refuses to play until they fix the DX9 and collision issues. Now I know this will be hard for us addicts but I think its WAY PAST time for us to stand up and be heard. SOE has used us for their beta tests for FAR too long and this last batch of b******t is simply the straw that broke THIS camels back.
WHOSE WITH ME??!!

Abi, what you don't understand is that people will b***h and b***h until they are blue in the face, but will anyone really take action? No, with the exception of a few. People care about the Collision system f*****g up, do people care enough to cancel their accounts? No.

If you got 50,000 people to cancel their accounts that would make a statement. Otherwise 100 people is a normal day for SOE.
They probably will add as many accounts as you get to cancel by this protest. Your best course of action is to email someone like Alan Vancouvering aka Absor. He gets things done. Especially things like that.

What's the problem? Besides the boats leaving you behind and invisible ground in some places, I haven't encountered any difficulties.

Cornering is still f****d up in some places
Short races can't walk up some steps
You still get stuck on rocks and walls and shit sometimes
It's basically just small problems that get marginally annoying after a while.

At first, I was about as peeved as anyone here. I was having issues with graphics, motion, connectivity, and player camera placments.
I did what SOE is pushing us to do; I have a suitable video card, and broadband connection.
I took the DX9 and half new graphics rollout as the warning. "Sub-standard game systems are going to really struggle" when the full package of the graphics engine is totally rolled out.
It's either catch-up with hardware requirements or be left behind.
I don't play a short toon, but with 2 shrinks, I too, get stuck in places.

Abi, I feel for ya, really.
I've been online for about a total of 6 hours in the last four days (with my new G-Force card).
It's the addition of the other tech issues (collisions and player camera) and the fact too many others are suffering from the partial graphics rollout that makes the game not appealing, currently. When key members and classes are crippled due to the DX9b compliance, it sucks
Targets can still be killed, and guilds are still hitting em. But, yeah, taking 20 mins to get over the wall in Fire, even after making corrections on my piece of crap 'puter, makes me feel like, "It's not my fault anymore. I didn't break it. So, when is whomever broke it -- gonna fix it?"

SOE is really shooting themselves in the foot a bit, here.
Once you rebuild the machine to run the engine, you basically have the machine that can run WoW, or UT2004.
I played only EQ because my older machine could still run it prior to the DX9 requirement. Now, my "older machine" has a "gamer's video card" in it (to satisfy the DX9 requirement), AND with the my tax return I am building a second "current hardware" machine.
So the question arises: "If the new box can handle the most hardcore graphic game, why EQ?"
