PC gaming better than Console gaming

PC was initial platform for games, but it evolved greatly through the years, while the consoles were created only for gaming (of course they could be used for many other things as well, such as Internet, watching movies, etc.).

What do you think?
What is better for gaming: PC or console?

Console Because I like the feel of it.

Has to be PC for sure, if you look at Battlefield series on the PC your talking maybe 7 years + since those were hitting the markets and now their just getting better and better.

In my personal view apart from call of duty series on PS3/XBOX 360 the games are kind of level pegged with PC games 7 years ago and the online play on consoles is still very restricted, Yes ofcourse it will get better but its going to take something special to match the PC capabilitys.

Big misteak on consoles also is the lack of good MMO games, imagine wow on ps3 or eve-online, now that would be something but the question i ask is are they capable and if so why has there been none that could be successful.

But it kinda gives you the idea that they can do a good MMO but they just dont, well not to the PC standard anyway.

If they did the consoles would hit a whole new level, I think the only upcoming MMO release due to console with potential is the new Final fantasy but again its the whole turn based crap we all or most of us tire of so again for me even with HD Gfx its going to be another PC MMO 7 years ago.

I think it depends on what you like.

I truly like online multiplayer games on PC more than console. I think mainly because I can use chat more. Also I tend to like RPGS and RTS so I think the mouse wins there.

I love console though for in-person multiplayer, it's awesome owning your friends while smack talking =D

I think that console systems are great for action games, normal RPGs, etc. but I consider the PC to be superior in areas like RTS, MMORPGs, FPS games, etc. They fulfill different niches in my opinion, if that makes any sense.

I use my PS3 for racing games, but a fps shooter is better playable on PC!

i think PCs offer much more gaming potential because of the overall power of the machines. everytime i see a comparison between a console version vs. a PC version, more often than not the PC version will come out on top in terms of graphics. also i'm a firm believer in the keyboard+mouse combo.

but the problem is that it's just so much easier to create games for consoles. every console is built the same way so companies just set a graphics level and no tweaks are needed. however, with PC games you have to allow graphic levels to scale since not all PCs are the same and technology changes so fast.

I think they are equal, you need both to experience the full gaming experience.

A lot of games that I love only came out for console, yea sure you can wait 5 years for an emulator for PC, but who wants to wait?

PC gaming is the best for FPS, RTS games and MMO games.

Console is the best for party games, sports games and platformers.

The best thing about consoles is the games come with very few bugs compared to their PC counterparts and also the actual machine has a lot less problems and costs a lot less.

PCs advantage is pure power, has the most RAM, processing power and more powerful graphics cards.

I love both!

I agree. Nothing can beat playing sport games on PS. But also, no console can beat WADS + mouse in FPS on PC.

Its PC without a doubt. it has to do with hardware and performance, especially for hardcore gamers. console has so little RAM, and there for the games chop big time. GTA4 is a great example of this for PS3. AND, because video cards can reach higher resolutions then full HD( 1080 ), the resolution and detail will be better for those who have extremely high end cards. however, console gaming is far cheaper.

PC for sure. I hate controllers of consoles. Mouse is an awesome invention that consoles do not have which makes playing FPS games f*** annoying on consoles and I am mainly playing FPS games. And consoles are still far behind on online gaming.

Definately PC gaming. Allthough consoles have the advantage that everyone has the same hardware which gives a more level playing field regarding fps/graphics theres also generally less technical issues that can arrise from consoles imo.

It really depends on the game.

Consoles are getting closer and closer to killing PC gaming. All Sony/Microsoft has to do is allow keyboards/mice to be used in any games and PC gaming would take a drastic hit. Then if they allowed games to load custom mods(which isn't hard to implement, it works the same as DLC), I think PC gaming would just die.

Well off coarse, PC gaming is much much more interactive and innovative than consoles games. Though console games are not bad, but when compared to PC gaming, the latter wins hands down.
