Cheese, you may wish to know that the CC is part of the WCC. I remember the Pope calling for unity and acceptance of all belief systems and to come together as one.

Hmm, interesting. I recall hearing something about the Pope trying to get different churches to communicate, but I always thought it was some kind of informal structure. It looks like the Pope had a hand in trying to get this thing started but the church is not a member. Heh, it almost looks like a "church UN".
I would not worry about it. All the organizations I see listed are small to mid-sized organizations and all of the them are pretty diverse. There are 2 or 3 large organizations listed for North America but all of them range from liberal to moderate in philosophy. The large Southern and Northern Baptist groups are not listed (there is only one mid-sized Baptist group listed along with several Black Baptist organizations). I don't see 7th Day Adventist and they're typically fundamentalist/evangelical. I also do not see the CC in this thing since it is a lobbying group versus an actual church. Maybe a few of the CC's ministry supporters are in it. If they are in this thing, they would be very small and probably bump heads a whole lot with others such as the Presbyterians. All of the Presbyterian church branches in the US are typically pretty liberal. Episcopal and Church of Christ are considered "liberal" as well.

hehe
Ya, it is a sort of a church UN. I was off about a tad there with the CC openly embracing the WCC...would be to much posting to cover it and these ppl here don't want to see it. But I am sure if you wished to research and find out, you are more than capable do to so. Interesting reading of course and organised religion has always been insane. Don't take them to lightly especially agendas that get way out of control.
btw, not worried at all to be honest. I am hoping it happens, sooner than later.

Eh, yea religion stuff is as bad as politics plus it is Zzzz. A few people were worried and needed reminding that there are tons of moderates. Elections are over. Interesting link, but I am back to lurking.
