Oldboy isn't a bad movie. I personally feel though that it is over hyped by people who give it such praise. The movie shines in it's last fifteen minutes and that's about it in my opinion.

I agree with you, it is overly hyped up and people talk it up like it is such a fantastic movie, but to me... Fight Club wins over this.

I recently rewatched the movie since last seeing it a few years ago and I absolutely love it. I will agree and say the best parts of the movie are at the very end, but I appreciate the meat of the movie. There are indeed better movies, but this is definitely one of my favorites.
