I've seen this movie countless times since it came out. I loved it, absolutely LOVED it... then hot topic started carrying it, and now all the emo kids that get their razor blades out of Capt Crunch cereal are all over it. Can we not have a good movie that emo kids don't ruin?

Yeah, the movie was great. Why a stereotypical "emo" kid would get a razor blade out over it? no clue. Hot Topic sells the movie now? Hmmm, never saw it there when I was looking at band shirts but perphaps I just looked over it. But hey who cares, its a good movie that EVERYONE should see.

First: Donnie Darko, is not that great of a movie, people like it because they know no other movies.
Second: The production crew who made Donnie Darko was apart of the "Emo-Progression" movement which was started by Fugazi in the early 80's, look it up.
Third: If Donnie Darko was so good, then why would they have just sold all of the rights to a different production crew to start making a sequel to Donnie Darko. Epic movies, have epic directors, and epic directors don't sell out. But within 3 years there will be a sequel. Read up kids
