Tell me the truth please... I am sick of trying to get a first persons point of view from that lineage site.
| Quote: | | the game records ur pvp kills by dueling(purple) like another person atks u and u atk back/ pking(whites) like u kill a person who isnt purple and when he dies u go red. i think thats how it goes |
Is this true?
I saw other posts like Well there is no way the game records kills.
I asked this of an established guild but I am alittle unsure of its truth. It appears to have some shakky view on PvP. always makes me wonder its truth.
Thanks in advance.

If you kill a toon with a white name, and they do not attack you back you will become a target (RED) for all white named people to try and kill.
If they fight back they will turn purple, if you kill them when they are purple you will not go red.
If you attack someone who is purple from attacking someone and they dont attack you and turn white, you will become red. The timer for going from purple to white is about 30 seconds.
It works on karma. The more people you kill who dont fight back the more Karma you gain. You can only work of the karma by killing tons of mobs, or dying in PvP several times. Also, bad karma increases the chance that you will drop an item when you die.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure with the new patch, healing/buffing mobs (at least ones that are fighting) will turn you purple for awhile. I think I read that attacking reds will also turn you purple, but I'm not sure if that's true. It probably should; it's sort of unreasonable that reds can't defend themselves.

About PvP
The Lineage II PvP gameplay is based on a color-coded system. The name of any character who attacks another player turns purple (Aggressive), and this also applies to anyone who attacks an Aggressive player.
Players do not receive penalties for attacking and defeating Aggressive characters. However, when attacking and killing characters that are Neutral (white colored names), the player's Karma points increase and the player becomes a Chaotic character. Chaotic character names turn red, and the guards of any village will attack a Chaotic character whenever they come in contact with one. Chaotic characters cannot use shop services, and have a high chance of dropping items upon death. To reduce Karma back to 0, the player must hunt monsters that are of similar levels to his/her character. Karma does not decrease if the player hunts monsters of lower levels, regardless of number.
Official.... finally saw this too late. LOL
