Now that you've seen them all, which one was your favorite.
Hard for me to pick one, but I think I liked Return of the King better than all of them.

Fellowship of the Ring.
It seemed like the most complete movie to me. FoTR obviously did all the 'leg work,' if you will, in establishing the lore of Middle Earth, the story, and most of the characters. Although the world of men and Gollum would become much more developed in the last two movies; dwarves, elves, and magic would almost never be heard from again after FoTR aside from a few token appearances. Jackson swayed too heavily towards men defending their cities against orcs in the last two, at the expense of the rest of the world Tolkien created. The final insult, of course, is the easy dismissal of Saruman in RoTK. (I didn't realize all his power rested in his wood burners down below!)
Superbly paced, never have I seen a movie balance the intimate with the epic as deftly as FoTR did. It contains neither protracted, exhausting battles, nor superfluous daydreaming sequences. Just heart, soul, a solid cast, and great adventure.
(Also, I'm with Denethor 100%, I wish Faramir had died instead of his older brother too. Boromir is a wonderful character and the series suffers without a truly conflicted character on the 'good side.')

Boromir was a great character, one i wish tolkien left in the group. The inner conflict when he takes the ring..
*I am going to destroy that which has the power to save my country*
Such a simple thing...so many deaths. Boromir wants to save gondor at all costs, even using the ring is justified enough for him.
Conflicting persons in a party are great for the forming of a story, i know from roleplay experience. Would have been great

And Frodo was just a gay hobbit skipping his way to Mount Doom? Or Sam? Or Gollum? They were all driven nutso to a degree by the power of the ring.

Boromir had issues before he ever touched the ring.
In the movies, Sam never wavered, Frodo did a little at the end, and Gollum was a 'villian' the entire time (never on the good side.)
There wasn't a single character in the series that had the kind of complexity Boromir possessed.
edit: I should point out that it's OK to like RoTK more, just give us the reason(s) instead of attacking mine.

Well spoken. I am a bigger fan of scenes in this trilogy rather than story, although it wasn't a bad tale. There were many cool shots and scenes, and the music was also very good.
I did like at the end of Return of the King how Frodo couldn't drop the ring, much like Isuldor or whatever before him. Interesting how when he first got the ring and started out he was like "Sweet. Let's drop it and win..." but as he got closer to Mordor he became less inclined to part with it, and when he finally reached the pinnacle he couldn't do it at all. In a way, Gollum saved middle earth.
One thing that did annoy me was that Gandalf was basically an old man with a stick. He really didn't do anything cool in the last movie except chase off the Nazgul for a second with that light of his (which was pretty tight).

Yes, heard the TV in the kitchen last night and someone said "Plans for the making of the hobbit are being assembled." then someone came on, I think it was Elijah Wood, said he would love to do The Hobbit. God knows ill see it. Just hope that they dont rush it and make it a piece of shit just so they can make a quick buck.

wasnt Saruman easily dismissed in the books too?
He went to the shire at the end but that was it.
Other then that he stayed in his tower like a p***y as the movie showed.
I could be wrong its been 3+ years since i read the books.
