I've had enough of Irish Americans who havent been back to their contry in 20 or 30 years come up to ME and tell me about the RESISTANCE, THE REVOLUTION BACK HOME.
And the glory of revolution, and the glory of dying for the revolution. f**k the revolution!
They don't talk about the glory of killing for the revolution. Whats the glory of taking a man from his bed and gutting him down infront of his wife and children?
Wheres the glory in that?
Wheres the glory, in bombing a rememberance day perade of old age pensioners, their metals taken out and polished up for the day?
Wheres the glory in that?
To leave them dying, or crippled or dead, under the rubble of the revolution, that the majority of my people don't want.
Where's the glory?

Rattle & Hum is hardly "some live recording"
He actually says it in the middle of the song, it's actually pretty funny cause his band are like "wtf" when he starts talking to the crowd...and The Edge (guitar) is just like..."Oh christ, keep playing..."
