Is this stupid, or what? You just move around at the same speed, no improvements whatsoever, no nothing. Shouldn't there be a swimming skill that improves your speed and durability under water? Or am I missing something? Because there's no swim skill in the character sheet as far as I can see.

This has been mentioned before, and a couple of times. No, no swimming skill at the moment. Will it be added later? I doubt it, but I guess it's a possibility.
But the focus is obviously not on things like underwater exploration, I guess the lack of improvable swimming is there to guide us toward the land instead of wasting out time in the water.
