What is the situation with leveling in Guild Wars? Is this something that is done on a common base or something that is not that much usual for this type if game? I am also interested in the direction in leveling for this game. No leveling up in Guild Wars? What do you have to tell me that I don’t already know?

I don’t know how much you already know so I will not be able to answer this question to the fullest expect, although I would like to give my best shot. Leveling is a common as the player is comfortable with using it. There is nothing ore to that then what have just told you. There is leveling up and this is not very common among players and you will be able to use it or to see it in the higher levels of the game. You should not expect something different then this and you should always keep in mind that there are good and bad times for leveling.

I dont know if you understood what he said so here it is in simple terms. Guild wars is not the type of game where you sit in one spot and just grind on the respawns. To level you will actually have to run around killing mobs. Missions and quests offer a faster way of leveling. But no leveling up is not the main aspect of this game.
Hope this helped

well to lvl in guild wars u need to actually do quests and kill a crap load of things. u can lvl faster by doing things solo but it goes faster if your in a group.

Its a bit different, you do level, 20 of them, but it has no effects apart from your HP, Mana and skill points and attributes. Attributes effect how powerful skills under certain archetypes are and skill points allow you to learn new skills from trainers or tomes, in the case of factions expansion + you are level 20 by the time you hit the mainland missions, in proph level 20 takes longer.

Guild Wars isn't even really all that leveling focused...
once you hit 20 you're good, you only play Storyline mode to unlock items for PVP characters (which start at level 20, and are given the choice of all items you unlocked)
it's really easy to hit level 20, but thats what makes guild wars great... instead of focusing on constant growth of your character and building up everything, its all about the strategy with your limited skills, points and gear.
