So what's the final word on this? First I heard they were letting every race (OK almost every, yes I do know that Orcs are gender neutral) pick a gender freely for every class, but then I heard there were restricting some classes, like the Chaos Chosen, to be male-only, for no apparent reason?

I don't know how "final" this is, but here's how things currently stand:
- Chosen is male only.
- Marauder is male only.
- Elf Witch is female only.
- Black Orc, Orc Choppa, Goblin Squig Herder, and Goblin Shaman are all neuters, but generally male-like in appearance.
- Everyone else can be either boy or girl, player's choice.

gender restrictions are due to lore descriptions mostly, ( not a big lore fan myself tough)

This is sort of a sore point for me as well. Not that it really effects me much since i don't play the Roguish classes (Witch Elf) and I always play Male characters (everything else has male available). But I just dislike the fact that only one faction has well over half it's races with only 1 gender choice (yes I'm counting orcs, it'd be different if there were races that had BOTH orc and goblin as a choice).
Furthermore, while I can see the reasoning behind Greenskins and Witch Elves, the lack of female Maurders (okay, so I can kinda see the anti-tentacle women arguement), and Chosen is silly. Female Chosen are even in the lore, if not common, but then...besides elves females are not very common in the lore anyhow.
Hopefully they'll work through and change some of the restrictions.

I think that this rule is good, why? Theres not many dwarves to begin with..why would you want your females fighting when your raise is already few in numbers and the enemy(orcs) seem to outnumber the dwarves heavily.
