A friend has told me that there will be no death in Lord of the Rings Online at all, just some kind of defeat system with some penalties. Is this true? Could someone explain this to me a bit more? If this is true, that would be so awesome…the best game ever!

Well it’s something like that. You get some negative effects – you’re like scared or something. And the death itself is more like fainting. You don’t loose xp and you don’t loose any equipment. Which is nice on one hand but on the other it makes this game a bit too easy and to children oriented IMHO.
