No Archer class in Vanguard?

How come? I stopped trying to keep up with development news since, well, a long time ago, but recently I hear it's finally out, and I tune back in … only to see that they've axed the archer, so to speak! Why did they drop the only class that specialized in ranged combat?
What on earth are you talking about? First, there was (to my knowledge) no class distinctively named "archer" during game development. Second and more important, they didn't drop the ranged combat specialist. That's the ranger, go and check out his class description, and *then* come back to tell me there's no archer in the game.
