Finally got my hands on the American release. 2 bonus tracks and a vid to boot. Bonus.

Somebody, I think Silvermouse, sent me Nighttime Birds, which I absolutely loved. I really liked the metal background coupled with the serene vocals of the female singer.
Is the rest of their music like that, or does it have a lot of the typical harshe male screaming in it? That I don't like, and don't understand.
Opeth makes the most beautiful music, and then they go and ruin it by the guy screaming as loud as possible. They are a love and hate band, for me.

its a tossup between the guy on the right and the guy on the left
although the left blond dude is also creeping me out but in a different way

Nighttime Birds was The Gathering, a band I like better than Nightwish. If only Nightwish didn't have opera vocals...

is it that shit i hear on the radio that is hardcore metal and some girl moaning the vocals like shes hot shit?

Granted I am out of touch with modern music, I listen to classic rock and old school jazz, but that just strikes me as a really funny combination guaranteed to produce musical horseshit.
Can we get Salsa-metal next? A bunch of Latinos jamming with a death metal band. Maybe the Gypsy Kings and Napalm Death remixed together dudes!! That would rock!!
