New player looking for some help in Everquest 2

Hey! I am a newbie player and I am asking you for some help on basic stuff in the game. I see there are four different so called archetype classes in the game. Is this class system same for every race I pick? Thank you in advance for your answers.
Although I don’t play Everquest2, I have checked the official site, and some other sites. As far as I can see, there is no race limitation to class selection. However, I think it is wise to select a proper race for desired class. Check out the official forum’s newbie area, they can be really helpful.
