I'm fit but after seeing what 1 injury does to a person - permenantly - I have no desire to chase numbers. Enough of that pointless b******t in EQ.

I'm not really risking injury with any of the stuff I'm doing...my body can easily handle it. I f****d up my pec because the weight shifted on it because the bar was f****d up.

I've seen people tear muscles and stuff trying to do too much, and it suxors.

You sound kinda like me when I lifted weights in high school. I loved dead-lift, squats, leg press, clean and j**k, and other lower body/power lifts but hated upper body stuff, especially military press and incline bench (I have long arms). I could squat and deadlift as much as anybody in the school but I could barely bench my body weight (I was 245 with 20% body fat at the time). In fact I could clean and j**k more than I could bench.

Anyhow the main reason I liked lifting was to get the head rush from moving a ton of weight. I used to almost pass out doing trap lifts. Not healthy though, don't think I've lifted weights more than 5 times since I got out of high school.

I used to bench 315. =p

And yeah, I know the feeling...having a ton of guys doing whatever that think they're all buff, and then doing a shit load more than them and they just kinda look at you.

It wasn't about impressing anybody for me, I would have lifted just as hard if I was all by myself. I just liked the adrenaline rush. When you drop the bar and your whole body tingles, you feel dizzy and lightheaded, your vision goes blurry, your arms and legs get all rubbery, and you feel like you're going to faint. That was what I did it for hehe.
