Time for a new CD for the car, but I'm kinda drawing a blank on what to put in it. This is what I have so far...

Transplants - Diamonds and Guns
Foo Fighters - All my Life
Static X - Cold
Static X - Push it
Static X - Wisconsin Death Trip

so I need like 10 more songs hehe. I'm lookin for rock/hard rock/punk/hardcore/rap/metal/alternative/whatever genre you want to call it, but it should be fast, loud, and appropriate background music for driving fast.

Also I prefer current stuff if possible.

Godsmack, Rage against the machine, Rob Zombie, and Powerman 5000 are my standard fill-in bands, but they have been on too many of my past CDs so I don't want to use them again (powerman 5000 would be ok if they have any good songs other than ultra-mega and when worlds collide).

Any thoughts?

If you want fast and hard, get some Prong on there.

Snap your Fingers, Snap your Neck
Broken Peace
Whose First is this Anyway?
Rude Awakening

to name a few. Basicly any Prong is going to go very well with the Static-X.

Lately I have either:

Woo, lots of stuff to download tonight. Xenden's "the louder the better" comment makes me think he knows what I'm lookin for. "is going to go very well with the Static-X" sounds promising too. Thanks to those that posted and keep em coming Cool Cool

Too many of these songs for one CD. My suggestions

Limp Bizkit - Rollin (I HATE LB, but this song is a great driver)
Crystal Method - Busy Child and There is Hope.
Paul Oakenfold - Binary Finary 1998
Metallica - Of Wolf and Man
Orgy - Blue Monday
Slipknot - Wait and Bleed
DMX - Party Up

Just a few for starters.

A lot of DMX songs work.

Bring Your Own/Whole Crew - DmX

*Play that loud, with the windows down at intersections, and the people in the cars beside you will ph33r u>!11

*I make no guarantees.

EDIT: I put own/whole cause im not sure which of the 2, the word is..,

A suggestion on Sel's LB Rollin' choice

Try the Urban Assault Remix with DMX, Methodman, Redman, and Nas I believe is the last one.

I despise the first version of Rollin but like the urban assault one

Stompin' At the Savoy and Let's Dance by Benny Goodman are both swingin' tunes. Bob Dole always had a problem with dirt roads damaging his LPs, though, so don't use your only copy!

Xenden took the words from my mouth, went back to make my own CD after this, and I prefer his recommendations to the T.

Sweet..."Halo" is the best song on my current driving CD.

Die Die my darling is good too, but it has been on a couple of my previous CDs, and Metallica is so like 10 years ago.

Just pop in Bon Jovi - New Jersey and you're set

Add Slippery When Wet for a nice change too.

Bob, you should look into getting an 8-track.

I'm not knocking Metallica, I think they're great...I've even been known to sing The Memory Remains in the shower. But I make these CDs 3 or 4 times a year and I usually try to find new stuff that I haven't heard before or at least stuff that I haven't already played 10,000 times.
