cables are pretty tough, unless your roof/ceiling area is hitting the melting point of the plastic...

It won't cause any problems from heat. The only thing you really need to worry about is not to run it over ballast’s from fluorescent lighting and try not to stretch or crimp the wire. Other than that you can do just about anything you want to it.

just go buy wireless, bit slower then 100mbit. but still fine.

you can get little access points or routers or both together.
both linksys and d-link have router/access point and wireless card for like $100.

That type of heat won't bother cables at all, but if you go wireless, you will get 74% more leet computer geek points than if you run a cable up there, and you won't have to crawl around in your hot attic and get itchy fiberglass insulation all over you.

Something to consider.

you can get that quad sheilded too...
or bundled with other cables...run it all at once LOL
sorry but that's why I asked
early morning + not enough coffee = brain dead questions from Tam
we just re-ran all the cable in the house here, cat5, RG-6,18g speaker cable, VC/IR cables and so on...all neatly bundled behind the walls to be pulled when I get off my ass and finish the job Smile

And the goverment can get read signals off of either cable or wireless networks without entering your home, so don't worry about which one you get, just go with style!
