Well, I posted shit about this on the official support forums a couple days ago and got no response, expecting the same probably here, but I've done everything I can think of to try to get this problem fixed.
System Specs:
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2 - up to date update wise
Hard Drive: Western digital 80gb Hard Drive(have it partitioned into two, one 20gb drive for Windows and 60gb for all my programs)
RAM: 1024mb DDR ram
Processor: Pentium 4 2.4ghz FSB 533mhz
Mother Board: Intel Desktop Board D845PESV - has current drivers
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Gamer - has current drivers
Video Card: ATi Radeon 9700 128mb AGP - has current drivers
Problem: Since patch day of the new adventure pack I have been having severe jerkiness anywheres I go except for a couple of places(solo type instances) and can't fix the frigging problem at all.
Things I did:
Updated my radeon drivers to 5.2, would have went to 5.3(current) but heard it wasn't doing well with some people in game.
Ran Defrag and error check, nothing wrong
Made sure no spyware was running, none were found, used spybot and adaware to scan it.
Completely disabled every unneeded startup item and rebooted. Didn't do jack shit.
Upped window's virtual memory to 2,000 mb minimum and 3,000mb maximum, rebooted and still didn't help.
Wanting to get a new computer really bad now, but have to wait until the end of the year before I can due to money reasons(still paying off a loan and have to get another to get me the one I want).
Tempted in upgrading video card to see if it'll help or get a new hard drive, but no point in it since I'll be getting a whole new computer soon.
Anyone have any other ideas I can try?

you dont need a new computer
just a new graphics card
i dunno what is wrong with you since that patch ..
make sure you turn your complex shader distance all the way down though .. i did that and it helped a lot

I was having the same problem.
But I have a
P4 3.0g
6800 Ultra OC
same OS
Audigy 2 ZS Gamer
1gig DDR Ram
With that setup, I had the same problem, especially in QH, Maj Dhul, Clefts and PoF. I upped my Ram to 2gig (4 512Mb sticks) and it's running a lot better. The lagging your are getting is because of all the memory leaks the game has. With your set up though, you may also want to get a better vid card also.

SOE stamp of approval: Memory leaks in production code.
