Take it easy, friend. You shouldnt run into any investments before you are sure you want to do that. Stick around in the game for some time (a month or two) before you decide whether you really need a land. And forget not that besides an initial price, you would have to pay monthly fee for your land.

Hello! I have just registered to Second Life and now I want to buy some land and eventually build some house. Where do I go to get this? Is there some estate agent or something in game? Whom should I contact to buy land? How is the exchange rate for USD to Linden Dollars?
