Ok, I plan to make an Night Elf Hunter come release. At level 16 there is a quest for horde only players in the barrens where you have to summon and kill a named white lion. Here is the link:
http://www.goblinworkshop.com/quests/echeyakee.html
Basically what I need is for someone to set it up with me to have our characters meet up in game (since we can't communicate in game), go summon the lion, let me tame it, then be on our merry way. You can then quit the quest and just go get it again, if necessary, so you can kill it and finish it on your own.
PM me if ya are willing to help me out. I plan to make level 16 on the first day or two so it should be pretty soon after release.
Oh and I plan to play on one of the normal servers, not a PvP or RP or any of that. And like I said, East coast.
Thanks!

Dude, I tamed him at 16. You can do it solo, if Tame fails just run until it loses agro and try again. Echyakee does look kinda lame =/

I got my bear in East Vale Logging camp at lvl 10 i kept the same pet to lvl 41. I like the bear for its tankage, it does not do a lot of dmg but you really don't need your pet to do dmg. Just stand there and take a beating while you pluck away.

I always thought that it really didn't matter what pet you used, that the only thing was taming the right creatures for Claw/Bite/Cower, then teaching those to the pet of your choice.

I think a pet that can cower is pretty pointless. If I want to take agro off of my pet, I can do so easily granted I am only level 37. I'm still using a turtle for the insanely high AC and its cool look. He only has bite 2 and growl 2, hopefully the patch fixes that if they ever go through with the patch sometime this year. I want king bangladesh as my pet, but currently he's ?? to me and hits for 125, so I'm thinking that's not going to happen before retail :p

Yeah, cower is a trifle pointless, but can't you just take auto-cast off of it? Just, for instance, if you're in a bind: load up some aggro, have the pet cower and it's that much easier? Not sure.
And like I said, I had no idea about the stats. Does it matter if you tame a low level; in other words, if you have a low level wolf that levels with you, will it be just as good as any other kind of tamed wolf?
I didn't play much with my hunter, just to low teens or whatever, but the fact some beasts have latently better stats (especially HP/AC) seems great. I always figured it was just a look and they all had the same scaling stats.
I'm just hoping they come out with beast-specific procs/skills, possibly something really low on the talent tree. But, probably, given the idea of what some beasts already proc, it might just be either the bone the hunter needs, or way, way too overpowering.

I liked lineage 2 where mobs just scaled up on a simple equation, carbon copy for the win... that game was so lame that using the differences between hp in a lvl 1,2, and 3 mob you could find out what a lvl 60 mobs hp was.. or how much dmg you would do to it at x lvl lol so gimpy.. wow for the win!

my turtle is like 3/4 a level behind me. He has jack shit for skills, but I'm hoping he gets the same stun/knockdown ability that turtles get as an npc when fighting them come patch day. He has around 2000 AC at level 38 and I tend to fight things 3-4 levels above me constantly (more downtime, but I'm a quest w***e for the orange/red quests). If they give pets ALL of the mob abilities they get when encountering them in PvE, some pets will be vastly overpowered (owls that can cast silence anyone? Although priests and mages can silence on occasion, so I guess it's not too bad). Alligator rend ability is another nice one.

I'm guessing if they do that, it'll be very low on the talent tree. And, you know what? If so, that'll be the build ALL hunters will go for.
Ash, keep on taming different pets. There was a definitive list for all Claw/Bite/Cower on the Bliz Hunter boards awhile back, you might still be able to find it, even though the DPS of the higher level versions on PC pets seemed to scale kind of, well, low.
With what you're saying about turtles, I might be going Orc Hunter for release instead of Tauren Druid.

Looks pretty white to me (don't have my own screenshot and this is the best I could find online).
Anyways, I f****n' like the way he looks. So all you b*****s stop trolling and stick to my subject (wishful thinking *grin*). Anyone gonna summon him for me...

I know that much... the problem is you need to summon him with a horn and the horn thing is a horde quest. As I said, I plan to go Alliance... therefore I need a horde person to help me out. Thanks for payin attention though *grin*

Good luck getting there without someone PKing you in the process. If beta told me anything, it's going to be the Horde's version of LoIO. So good luck, really.
Besides, I'm sure there's another model of white cat. Maybe not plainscat, but white nonetheless.
But why not just knock the p***y out and go Horde? Orc Hunters will own.

Well this answers the PKing part:

As for the rest... I want it to be the white male lion... not just any white cat. So far I have not seen or heard of any other white lions... only regular color (there's also a rare black one I like but don't need help to get... just patience ).
Oh well... thought I could look here for help. Guess not.
P.S.
Horde suck my balls!!

Ah, I'm not sure how Non-PvP servers work. Goodluck, I'd help if I wasn't going to go PVP, honest!
