Last time I had an expansion it was some two years ago and it was called Alien invasion if I am not mistaking. I havent play Anarchy Online for some time now, maybe a year or so, and I would need a newer Anarchy Online version. What can I expect with this new version? Should I even bother?

You should bother indeed. The last expansion was beck in 2006 and it was called Lost Eden. It is so much better then what you remember because there are many new features that werent available in previous extensions. Player can have and drive all sorts of vehicles. Also many new fighting arenas are being introduced. Points that you get if you win player versus player fight can be used to upgrade your skills, and up until now all points were used to pass from one level to another. It will be money well invested if you decide to get new expansion Lost Eden.
