New Half Life Mod that combines the first person shooter with a real time strat.
You can be aliens or human.
As a human you get a commander to coordinate the battle and build up the bases as the grunts go out and hold down the fort while trying to whipe out the ailens.
As an alien you get to throw down whatever defence you like then morph into whatever creature you like to infest the base you are inside.

Yea I got NS like 2 weeks ago, came out about 3 or 4 weeks ago... totaly f*****g awesome. Aliens are a bit harder to use than marines, but very fun to play. 5 different evolutions for aliens, all totaly different in movement, weapons, ect.
A+++ Very fun.

The thing that sucks about NS so far as I can tell is, you can't play by yourself to figure out what all the shit dose. You have to actually be thrown into a live game and either p**s people off because your trying to figure out how to use the command center for the humans, or begging someone else for equipment and health.
Am I wrong on that?
I would also like to be able to set up buildings and test what kind of attacks work best against them.
Do you play on gamespy?

Actually, you can practice without being on a live server.
Got this link from the NS mainpage message boards, really nice bots that you can use on your own private server to practice with. Its how I learned to command.

Thanks Natalie, I got the bots and roxor as a commander now =)
In fact, the only 2 times I've won as a Human I was in the hot seat!
