I don't need to pay 99.95 to find out my ancestors were in Africa 60,000 years ago.

Go back even further and mom was a worm.

What is the point?

That since I'm white I'm newer?

Newer as in more advanced?

Newer and more improved?

25% more free?

Again, what is the point?

For me it is contributing to the overall study and to our general anthropological knowledge base about humans on earth, their migrations through the ages etc etc. than for "us" individually. Then they can make us some pretty migration charts to look at in the Smithsonian or something.

For me......ehhh I like geneology stuff. Its mildly amusing and 100 bucks isnt that much.

If you think 100 is a lot, then you need to stop spending so much time here and go generate some green.

ROFL I'm sorry that does sound bad. Embarassed mmm crab salad....

But then again, how many of you drop a $100 bucks on some weekend fun and barely remember whether you had a good time or not. So Bah to you sir!

I think it goes along with my level of interest in this stuff. Its a teeny tiny contribution to a much bigger project.

Last night I watched a program about a scientist that was on the trail of the tall blonde Amazonian women of "myth". The warrior tribe of women that didnt allow men in their midst. Rumored to have cut off a breast** to make it easier to use their bows.......surely you have heard of them.
She was able to prove that such women did exist through forensic science and eventually track their decendants down to the plains of mongolia where they found a young blonde girl who's dna traced back to the women found in the original home of the Amazons. (near Greece)

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/secrets/case_amazon/

So the more we can fill out the big DNA map, the more interesting things we might discover about where we've come from.

PBS...

LOL

I read the story, I see no facts. I do see someone saying a lot, but not saying how he knws what he claims to know. A few gold dodads dug up do not = the myth.

ehh watch the program. The scientist is a woman and her samples in the areas where these "myths" spoke of were gathered and tested and DNA's compared.
Its not like she is saying there were ghosts there and she could prove it. There were bones there with some weapons, they were female buried with weapons... they tracked more of these people elsewhere where the mythology said they went to and there were bones there too with matching DNA. So........ stop p****n in my cornflakes! Ya old naysayer.
