Party Poker saves the day again! |
The US government are a bunch of hypocrites. Online gambling is against Jesus and Jesusland will get you if you don't cut it out. Guess if they can't make the money on it, they figure no one should.
They sign things like free trade agreements to open markets and streamline the flow of goods and services across borders and then slap illegal protectionist tarrifs on imports when US businesses whine that they can't compete. Then they ignore the outcome of arbitration procedures they agreed to.
Good on Antiqua for thumbing their noses at the US (or anyone else for that matter) when it won't play by the rules it helped create. Grand Cayman has private banking, why shouldn't Antiqua be the file and torrent capital of the world?
This sort of reminds me of the 'legal threat' page over on the pirate bay.

A perfect case of it being great that US law doesnt cover the whole entire world.
