And this is your assessment of blogging as a whole? That every blogger is, according to your reasoning, a gay, self-absorbed 18-25 year old.
Essentially, blogs are a way to express opinions over the internet. They're used by all different kinds of people; from the vain and the shallow (the subcategory you're most likely referring to) to blue collar workers, to white collar workers, to the elderly, and to numerous soldiers, a lot of whom write about their time in Iraq. Now, that last one, does that sound gay to you? Keeping note of experiences abroad, in battle?
What's more, how is posting your opinion on a message board any different?
In short, it's not.
