Hey all, A couple days ago my mic just stoped working. At first I thought everyone was ignoreing me cause I was gettin no answeres, then i checked recording program thing and realized my mic just stoped working. I thought it was my headset that just went bad, so I went and bought a new one and still no dice. So not only did I waste my money on a buying a new headset/mic but it still doesnt work. I tried messin with all this sound settings crap, i even reinstalled my sound blaster live 5.1 drivers, and still not working. I have no idea why it would just stop working one day, but this blows cause now I cant use TS, Vent or even talk in CS >_>. Anyone have any idea's on how to fix it? Would be much appricated ^_^

Check to see if you input is muted, check it's volume as well. Or do what I did. Buy a USB headset =)

Also make sure Windoze is not using your microphone input as an extra speaker output. Yes, it has this option. It's very weird.

If you think that it might be your actual microphone, you could also plug in headphones if you have them, into the mic connection on the PC and scream into the headset speakers. speakers and mics are just versions of eachother.
