They eat fish out of ponds around here so they get killed all the time. I wouldn't kill most animals for nothin if they aren't bothering me. If it is doing something that impacts on my quality of life then only a bald eagle is safe lol. They aren't killing the snapper anyway..just putting it in a pool with food.
As for desensitization..I don't have a problem with killing people for the same reasons I'd kill an animal. It's a little too late to worry about that lol.

Killing a turtle to protect one's stock (pond or otherwise) is not being questioned. In many ways it is similar to protecting sheep. Keeping one is not terrible either. Since we are getting into personals, having wild pets was part of my growing up as well.
Now, can you draw the distinction between the advice people were giving and the justification you gave for killing them?

Wait, I am a b*****d why? My brother`s took it from a nasty ass ditch, and put it in a nasty ass pool. Where is it any diffrent? They are younger then me, kid`s catch animal`s all the time. Kid`s like pet`s I guess, so do adult`s. You can't quite play with a snapping turtle but it`s neat for them to have. I have decided you are a nub.
