You missed the boat. The recession started under Clinton and ended under Bush. We have greater economic prosperity right now than in the past 25 years.

Lol republicans passing the buck.
Clinton brought us nothing but prosperity, regardless of right wing spin.

Uh...huh? The recession began in his term. It turned around under Bush's term. I don't understand what you're saying.

Youre not closed minded , Cel and neither am I.

The great thing about America is you can call b******t when you see it.

Clinton was white trash who ran around on his wife eating McDonalds and making more verabl faux-pas than one can count. was he "eloquent"?

Clinton could speak without looking like he was about to board the Shortbus, yes.

So that's the best you've got? You don't like Bush so you try to claim he sounds retarded? You overlook the fact that Clinton bombed our economy and destroyed to dignity of the presidency and you complain that you don't like Bush's accent because you're a bigot? Not to mention you belong to a party that now officially endorses the assassination of cabinet officials?? Wow.

Like I said, right wind spin

Clinton balanced the budget, brought jobs and prosperity.
And he kept his head held high even though the right wing viscously attacked him, wasting precious resoucres and time over who sucked his d**k.
He was a good president.
Like it or not the Clinton administration was a success.

you say that clinton had no problems, well of course he had no "problems" because he let osama go when he debated going after him a few times (which could have stopped 9/11) and also his policy on N korea was to give them oil and 2 light water reactors. In return from N korea they were supposed to stop using their 2 nuclear plants and their fuel rod processing. instead we now have a possibility of terrorists recieving enriched uranium. GO CLINTON!

Actually the slowdown began 8 months before Bush took office. The recession began a month before he was sworn in.

Clinton was more concerned with image. That's why when Bush took office he actually had to deal with all this shit. Too bad Clinton put up rules that, if not in place, would have prevented 9/11!

Yep he had a heads up and it DID happen on his watch.
Sorry, but its true.
I havent critisized Bush on this until now in response to your comment because I think going back and placing a blame on 911 is wrong, even if that blame were to fall on Bush I still say its wrong.
The thing to do now is look ahead and learn from 911, not point fingers.

Wrong. He had no heads up. Why? Because of organizational restrictions placed on the FBI and CIA by Clinton. I sure wish Clinton didn't do that. 9/11 would have never happened. That's what happens when you put a Democrat in office, though. Even worse will happen under Kerry.

There is no question that each side spins propaganda in ways to make both sides look like idiots; in a sense it’s the American way.

I just find it humorous that people are willing to elect someone as liberal as Kerry just because they don’t like Bush or his party, even if they don’t agree with Kerry’s track record or platform.

That in a nutshell is one of the most f****d up aspects of this countries political system in my own opinion.

The second most f****d up thing is how much we let the news media influence most people’s political views. It is almost like common sense and facts are not even a factor in generating “News”. It now has become how much “Drama” can we get out of this story of that and how much drama can we generate by promoting this issue or person over that.

We as a society are letting “Spin” become the driving force for the news media and not the facts. Something is wrong with that picture.

Kerrys gonna get us out of this mess, and the republicans can get back to accusing him of boinking the Hooters waitress and shout IMPEACH HIM!!!!

As far as 911, Themy

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush's daily intelligence briefings in the weeks leading up to the September 11 terror attacks included a warning of the possibility that Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network would attempt to hijack a U.S.-based airliner,

Seems to me there should be some major changes in airline security at this point.

Bush nor his administration took it seriously and two towers fell.

Well I dunno about that. It's not the MOST important thing but it does help your international image.

Bush is not a good public speaker, and yes, it would help his image if he was. But I usually judge people on their deeds (which is why I wanted him to explain himself more in that Q&A segment I saw on tv), not the way they can smoothtalk people. I would hope others do the same, in that way I can understand why Nuldaan gets upset over people just dismissing everything Bush says as dumb, just because of the way he delivers it sometimes, without giving it more thought. (I do feel his comments to me were misplaced at best though)

Nuldaan pussed out. How can you be so selfish Nuldaan?

If you know better, why not use that knowledge to let people know whats right and whats wrong, and not be an a*****e about it? Oh wait, if you disagree with this request, can I call you an a*****e and not get shit about it?

Fact is, you probably don't know any better, and you just hate to argue. Why not admit that instead of knocking Celestra's point of view down just because it isn't the same as yours?

Don't be lame man.. Listen to what she is saying instead of disregarding it, because you have a personal affront with some anonymous person named "Jack Crow" that happens to agree with the opposing side of the argument. That's all I can see at this point, and it seems pretty pathetic.. :\

Right... because white trash get scholarships to Oxford ALL the time.

Clinton was probably the most eloquent president since at least Kennedy. If you don't agree, I suggest you go look up the word, as it may not mean what you think it means.

Look, we conservatives were very polite about not placnig the blame on Clinton where it belongs. Bush was nice enough not to point fingers. But now you leftists wanted a political 9/11 commission and we now have no choice but to expose the truth. Clinton was responsible for 9/11.

No question he was eloquent. Ran the best self promotion campaign the 8 years he was president ever. I don't even deny he did some good things for the country but it all comes down to image and he was a master at polishing his.

I think the democrats have painted themselves into a corner with Kerry though as far as image and electability go.

He wasn't particularly eloquent. What made him a good public speaker was the fact that he was colloquial. That's why he got a lot of votes from poor uneducated people.

you say that clinton had no problems, well of course he had no "problems" because he let osama go when he debated going after him a few times (which could have stopped 9/11) and also his policy on N korea was to give them oil and 2 light water reactors. In return from N korea they were supposed to stop using their 2 nuclear plants and their fuel rod processing. instead we now have a possibility of terrorists recieving enriched uranium. GO CLINTON!

Just shut up, idiot. :\
