I played that game and got terribly bored with it. Or maby its cause Console RPG's arent possible? I think your supposted to stop the reborn guy from returning and restore balance by becoming one of the Emperors Blades or something.

100 is the highest level.
But you can drink potions and crap to get your stats up. The best one was where I wanted to have a better jump than the flight spell that wore off before you landed.....I jumped across the map in 3 jumps without dying.

it's a beautiful game that has alot of potential, it's kind of like a single player MMORPG, but not quite like the .hack series. I own it for the Xbox, which may not have been the best choice, but it still runs great, and the gameplay is phenominal, only problem is it can be a little hard at times. Do some easy quests, get some levels and you are well on your way.

cool thing that I found is that you can buy your level all the way to 100 without even touching the main quest.
But since I've found that it's been a little boring, but the expansions keep me glued to it, and the lvling mystique was shot out the window.

You skills determine your level. Once you gain a total of (I believe) 10 levels in any skills - you gain one level.
Check this guide out:
http://www.gamespot.com/gamespot/gameguides/all/morrowind/
The leveling up system is very in depth and there are ways to maximize your gains.

Game is not to hard if you know what your doing.Shit the hardest time I have had yet out of Marrowind or the expansions was when I became a werewolf and the hunters came after me with their silver weapons.Since the hunters can move as fast or faster than you and you have no armor they can kill you in a few hits.Only way to get hps back is to wait and that eats up the clock for how long you remain a werewolf.
Tho if you do the side quest to get some lvls and then work on the main quest it keeps things fresh kindda.Tho some of the quests get long and drawn out.Took me forever to get my fort in Marrowind.Gonna start work on my mining company in Bloodmoon now since I already have a mead hall.

Well ever since the discussion started about this, I decided to pick up The Elder Scrolls 3, which had been decaying on my desk for months on end. I poped it in and started a whole new adventure. There was no way I was about to go back to the archer I was playing. I had no idea what I was doing, it was a total disaster. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could explain to me a little bit on how the skill, and leveling based system works. I am now playing a barbarian and have gotten 1 axe skill, and 1 acrobatic skill from adventuring around...but still have yet to get a level. If anyone could enlighten me that would be great.

Yea any combination of 10 points (faster in main and secondary skills, think it takes more for minor skills) and you get a lvl.

ok skills=lv. once you get 10 points in a skill or a combo of 10 points spread across skills you gain a lv.this is important as it determins your multiplyer on stats. heavy armor is based off endurance so when you lv if your hv armor skill has gone up a few points you will get something like x2/x3/x4/x5 for your endurance, which is much better than getting just 1 point into your end. it shows skills you use alot and gives you a bonus based on their use.
the 10 points you need are based on main and minor skills, not misc skills.so if you want to lv fast put acrobatics and athletic in main and just run and jump everywhere, you will lv like mad but your stats will suck since you are only working 2 skills alot you will get a x3 str x3 speed but nothing else so you need to work heavy armor to get a x3 end. misc skills will give you the multi but wont lv you(if they do its a ton of points to lv off misc skills), so make sure your on autosave before sleep, once you sleep and lv if you not getting a good multi on your stats go train a misc skill that is based off the same stat. misc skills mostly start around 5 so they are cheap to train.
example you go to sleep and get 3 end 3 str and nothing else, you want some agility so reload and go train a misc skill at the trainer that works off agil. if you have block as a misc skill train that up about 5 points now go rest and when you lv you will have X2/3/4/5 etc in agil depending on how much you trained block.
it really depends on if you want to lv insanly fast or lv a little slower and have good stats.picking your main and minor skills is the big thing, if your going pure warrior make sure you have a str/end/agil based skill in main or minor a speed skill in one of them too since you do alot of running around, also jump everywhere since acrobatics is based off str, even if you have it as a misc skill everytime you lv you will prolly get a x5 on str.

this game was good, bu it was ridicously easy. Within 5 hours of playing nothing could hurt me. It was just too easy to become powerful. Even with the game at max difficulty it was a total cakewalk. It really made all the main quest and dungeon exploring uninteresting, I mean it was IMPOSSIBLE to die. No fear of death = total bore. After that I stopped playing.

Not true
I'm a Nord Warrior with a Deadric Dai katana (a kick ass wep) I can kill shit with 1 or 2 hits but if someone gangs up on me and paralyzes me and shit and cast other spells i get f****d up.
Or if I run up to a archer and they shoot at me from a distance I end up having to strife to miss his arrows but sometimes he still hits me.
It's all on strat if you run up on the wrong person with a strat for another you could die.

You can become way too powerfull in that game, what I did was I got a good ammount of cash, not tomuch tho, then I started making +int potions in batches of 10, drank them then made more potions, as I did this the quality of the potions went up exponentaly, so I had a huge int, then I made a ton of regen and levi potions, so I had some that were 99hp per sec for 5 minutes ect...
