Same guy as http://www.realpoor.com/viewtopic.php?t=147423&hpr=zsjin

Ok, so I get a PM from Zsjin, telling me he is interested in my account.

First, you will note he apparently has a new AIM from the previous thread.

Also, his paypal email is PalmClease@cinci.rr.com so be on the lookout for that one too if you are completing a transaction.

I get in contact with him and he tries to get me to lower the price etc. I say no, eventually he comes back later and says he will buy at my price.

Great, I tell him, and I ask him if he is a verified paypal member, and inform him that I am. We go through the process and he sends the money. So I look and it says his address is verified, but I run a quick search on his name/address. What I get back is that apparently the person buying my account killed himself after a confrontation with police a year or so ago.

So Im talking with Zsjin on aim and I confront him about it, telling him I am going to ask him some questions for security measures and I need a reply instantly to verify. He says OK. I ask him what is the next street over from his alleged address, and I can see him fumbling around on AIM for about 30 seconds before he comes back with "OMG what does it matter". I ask him why he has the name and address of a person killed a year ago. He has nothing to say and cuts off contact.

So I figure ill go to bed and deal with this in the morning. Sure enough, I got a dispute email from paypal. I tell them my story and tell them I am willing to conduct the transaction, I am just waiting for the money to clear to my bank so there can be no chargeback scam.

Anyways, I never gave him the account info and we'll see what paypal says. The kid is extremely shady, and very likely a scammer. Probably sets up fake paypals with a credit card and then chargebacks immediately.

Im sorry to hear about the person who did get scammed, but luckily I managed to avoid it.
One key thing to note here is that there is a realpoor article that claims Seller Protection Plan is safe from chargebacks if its a virtual item, but that is not true. Good thing I read the Seller Protection Policy on the paypal site myself because it specificially says it has to be a tangible good and that virtual items are not allowed. I would suggest deleting this article because it leads the reader to believe that as a verified paypal seller, you are protected when selling your wow account, which is not the case. Maybe you were in the past and the policy has changed, but their current policy says no protection for virtual sales.

Can you point the article out to me mate, because im pretty sure almost all the articles related to paypal state, "send the information through the post on a letter or with cd's so its signed for and you have atracking number", this gives you your tangible goods.

I linked the article down the bottom there
http://www.realpoor.com/articles/Safe__Paypal__Transactions_a95_f81.html

Basically, it just seems to be worded a little bit poorly, leading you to believe by simply saying that its a virtual item that you are covered by seller protection plan, which according to the paypal site you are not protected.

Oh, and by the way, Im sure the article's author meant good, but I just thought it was either slightly misleading, or outdated due to a possible change in paypal policy or something.
