I know that the subjects like this were already discussed on this forum, but not so long ago I have heard a rumor, namely from a close friend of people from dev team, that due to bad value of US Dollar (lowest in decades), game is going to be more expensive – some say 19.95 or even 29.95!!! Do you think this is true?

Well, I think it is a sort of scam, that’s not actually going to happen, rest assured! I personally KNOW that the games would maybe even become cheaper (the subscription), in order to make it possible even for third-world countries to pay for it. BUT, there is a problem. In-game economy will demand that you have more ISK, and you will eventually buy for real money.

They have changed their GTC prices but havent announced anything regarding the usual subscriptions.

I pay for my game with ISK, do you think this change will affect the amount of ISK a monthly timecard will cost?
It probably will, since ISK will not suddenly become more valuable =/

Most of the game cards that are sold on the eve forums are purchased by players from ccp for game isk. Therefore, if the monthly game rate goes up – the GTC isk cost will also be more.

It already is $19.95, I thought? Check the price: https://secure.eve-online.com/
They have very proudly told us in the past that they have over 200,000 paying subscribers. 200,000 x $19.95 = nearly $4M, per month. Do you really think that matches their costs per month?

nah dude. This is the first month fee. $5 to buy the game, $15 for the first month fee =)
