Did you move anything electronic near to it lately? I noticed that one day when I moved my radio next to my monitor, it flickered slightly.

change your refresh rate sir, see if that helps

if it does, things can be going wrong..you may have to reinstall vid drivers..or worse..

If you haven't changed the resolution recently and this just started happening, the gun on the CRT may be going out. Try running lower res/lower refresh rate and see if it still does it.

What brand is it? Hopefully it's still under warranty.

On a related note, anyone ever have like the blue stream ever just go out once in a while? Like RGB, with no B. If the monitor is tilted a little then it goes back to normal, but if you don't move it, it stays f****d up. Monitor is like 7 months old =/.

vid card can be dying, or you may need to refit your vid card/check cables/pins Smile

My refresh rate was 60 Hertz, the lowest it goes.. It goes from 60 to 85 in 5 hz intervals.. I have it at 75 now.

Resolution is at 1280 x 960, been that way for a few months.

Monitor is a Gateway Diamondtron NF VX720

That sounds like a cable issue or a weak solder on the connector where the cable is attached.

That's a mitsubishi made tube, 17inch.

1280 x 960 is a non-standard resolution. You should run 1024x768 or 1280x1024.

It's definitely not the video card. It's a problem from the monitor end.

He just said that when he tilts the monitor, the problem is fixed. I did repair monitors for a time, it's a monitor/monitor cable/monitor solder issue.
