|
|
|
I got my boyfriend's Christmas present in advance, a WebMD Sony MiniDisc player. He swears by it. He likes it so much I went out and got myself one. Boy are they complicated!
The question I have is : does anyone else have one of these? If you do you would be familiar with the annoying "Check In/Out" method of transferring to music to/from the handheld. I don't like that. I was wondering if there was any other software for transferring to and from a MD player out there? I can't find anything so far but I'm not very savvy with online music software.
Thanks!

umm try downloading the free one then click the devices tab at the bottem . make sure the MD is hooked up at the time.
NetMD/openMG is way to slow and didn't work half the time for me . this was way easyer way to do it i think.

I've had mine for about 2 years now and love it. I usually just use the cd>md program to get music onto mine tho. I just found it easier to burn the songs to a disc and then onto the MD. =\
I so agree with you that the check-in/check-out shit is a complete pain in the ass.

just get a hard drive based MP3 player. that way you can use it as an external HDD as well as an mp3 player

I really like the flexibility of the MD player.. you can play anything on it. And once I get the music management side of it down it will be cake.

NO f*g!
MDs suck. They are slow, expensive and easy to break. I've owned 3 MD recorders, and as soon as I got my first mp3/cd player, I gave up on MD completely and haven't looked back since.
MP3 players are cheaper, more widely available and don't break nearly as easily.
I'm not sure what is better about NetMD, but while you can download to it at faster than real time, you cannot take music out of the disc. And the download speed is still slower than mp3 players.
I could go on and on, and if you want to avoid the check out thing, there's like a 20 step procedure.
Anyway, get an Ipod or something, but MDs...

Regrettably this isn't up for debate. I've already bought it. So, while I thank you for your input, it's too late. I am not asking what I should buy I am asking what I can do maximize my use of this. I'm sorry you had bad experiences with yours but, they remain just that.. your experiences.
I know that MD is no longer a propietary medium since Panasonic, Maxell and a few other makers make MD players/recoreders. I am simply asking if anyone knows a more efficient software for moving files that doesn't involve the annoying "Check In/Out" flag system.
The MD can play multiple music formats back to back.. try doing that with an iPod...
