Why on earth would someone spend 205,000 grand on that?
Do people spite Microsoft that much? or think paper will be a fine antiquity in the near future?

There probably was a few genuine bids around 500$. Now it's just a bunch of people bidding without any intentions of paying.

Why would people bid this much? Well, why would anyone buy an inferior, s****y product such as MS Windows? Because it's popular, and a hot topic. Fame feeds itself and the crazed people bidding on it are in a feeding frenzy.

Windows is not that bad. I think people who use Linux or Mac like to jump on the "Windows sux" bandwagon just because its cool. I use both windows and Linux (Rehat 7.2) and I admit i like Linux better, but I dont hate windows.

I'm pleased with 2k Pro and XP Pro, it hasn't given me trouble thus far and has some features that are pretty handy. Everything else was a f*****g catastrophe, though. Windows ME was so bad that if Microsoft gets slammed for it's creation and release for the rest of it's existence, they're getting what they deserve.

Windows really is "that bad." I don't use Linux because it's cool or hip or whatever. I use it because my data means something to me.

I mean if you want to categorize and stereotype anyone who feels disdain for a bloated, overpriced OS, hey, that's your perogative. But momma taught me not to be so prejudiced.

A lot of people like Linux becase they like it - not because they hate Windows.
