Middlemanning - PLEASE READ!

Trade started:
Trade expires:

02/24/2008 11:17:07 PM
Start price: $1.00 Buy it now: $2.00
IMPORTANT

RealPoor doesn't offer a certified MiddleMan at this time. If a trader wants to use a MiddleMan for safer sale, he/she will trade on own responsibility since we are not liable for any trades true independent and self claimed Middlemans.

Basically, we don't want to stay behind anyone here who is not an authorized and verified RealPoor staff (administrators only).

In near future, we plan to introduce a MMCS (MiddleMan Certification Service) which would allow as to inspect the middleman candidates in person, check their personal ID, collect their personal info and verify them as Certified MiddleMans which would improve the trades and significantly eliminate scam possibility.

Of course, this service won't be free of charge, but it will protect both traders from potential scam and misuse.

Stay tuned for more info {Old Issue - Updates could be made into an article}

Question:

Wouldn't that be expensive to meet everyone that middlemans for this site? I mean, because you want their ID and everything, but what if someone lives like in Austraillia?

Another thing, we are going to have to think of a way where you aren't risking your accounts to help middleman. Over private messaging system does work but usually both users tend to want to talk in a 3-way with their middleman. MSN can work, as long as the middleman has chat logs or whatever.

People tend to talk in the game about selling accounts and what not. That's dangerous, even clan chat and private messaging is no good.

What do you think psuedo?

I wouldn't mind middlemaning when I am on, but we need a new way to do these trades.

Well, it doesn't matter where you live. Everyone should have a personal document, passport or any kind of valid documentation to verify the status. We would be able easily to verify the credibility of the data. However, a certified RealPoor middleman should be a loyal RP member. As I said, it was just an idea but I cannot promise we will introduce this service, since it wouldn't be free of charge.

Well Pseudo, I think this would be a great idea. But using MiddleMen doesn't always mean someone wont be scammed, people will still recover accounts.

If you started it, you could make a rule like, if someone is buying an account, the MM will get the account information and the buyer will have to wait until the MMs own recoveries set in before the trade is offical. That way, the seller wont be able to take back the account.

I'm sure you will figure something out though, I wouldn't mind being an official MM in my spare time.

I like the Idea, and I would do it to help out, But BB is right, if someone gets scammed people can easily blame the Middleman, it's kind of risking something.

But the 14-Day period could be a long time.

How about clearly state, no MM if your account has recoveries.

That sounds good, if you Want a MM, you must take off recoveries first.

Hmm ... How would you be able to see are the recoveries on or off? Is it possible to check before buying an account? A Seller can state the recoveries are off, but Sellers doesn't have to say the truth.

That seems fair. But what if the account doesn't have recoveries but used to be a member, thats also a problem.

There is a way to check to see if recoveries are off even if you don't have the password, and the account must not be member either, or they can take it back too.
