And thank you for that, please do so again.

As for Mr. Moore gotta applaud him for taking a chance at a national voice to spew his rhetoric. Rather backfired, even some of the most unthinkingly anti-Bush folks in the US booed him.

I must admit I'm curious how he will react now that the real face of the regime is coming to light with the POW Summary Executions & the Possible 100 acre Bio/Chem War Plant that the Inspectors missed.

You're also naive enough to think that peace will ever be obtained without the levity of war.

Most of you entirely miss the point.

Do you know WHY a lot of people join the mililtary? Believe it or not, there are people who believe in this country. They believe that someone like Michael Moore should be allowed to speak his mind, even if they disagree with him.

You know what Michael Moore would have gotten in Iraq or China for what he said? A bullet in the head, along with everyone who applauded him. He is misguided, but he does mean well.

not true .

What he said might help ensure Bush doesn't get elected for a second term.

While what he said alone won't stop that from happening , He did his part.

Down with bush !!!

See, This is what I love about the USA. A person like Micheal Moore has the right to voice his opinion. No matter how retarded I think his opinion is, it's still his right. I do however thing he picked an inapropriate place to voice that opinion. I mean, it's an awards ceremony not a political rally... Shame on you Mr. Moore!

In my opinion, he's a moron. I am glad most of the people boo'd.

The Democratic party is shooting themselves in the foot and the public knows this.

Bush will be re-elected (unless some monumental clusterfuck happens with this war and the war on terror in the near future) because the Dems cannot mount a suitable candidate that isn't completely full of shit. Who would win? Hillary Clinton? *laugh*

The only way Bush wouldn't get elected again is if he didn't put himself up for re-election. If that was the case, I could see Colin Powell taking the Presidency in the biggest landslide victory in American history.

Communism and Totalitarianism are perfectly compatible. In fact the definition of Communism is socialism under a totalitarian government, as opposed to the more democratic version of socialism that is becoming popular in Europe.

com·mu·nism ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kmy-nzm)
n.
A theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members.
Communism
1. A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people.
2. The Marxist-Leninist version of Communist doctrine that advocates the overthrow of capitalism by the revolution of the proletariat.

Just like you might be overestimating? The last official poll, sometime in November 2000, is the only one that counts.

ROFL

a.) Powell will never win. He's gone as far as he'll ever go.

b.) None of the strong Dem challengers have announced they're running yet. And as I recall... Bush was a non-factor 2 years before his election too. Hell, if anything we were laughing about it.

Colin Powell has been the most popular political figure in America for a good while now.

He'll carry a vast majority of the black vote, and probably hispanic as well (minorities love to keep the white man down!). He is generally loved from the lower to the upper classes, he truly is the "everybody man".

One of the VPs at my company has a bet that Colin Powell will kill himself before all this is over. His feeling is that Powell's public statements have shown such a transformation in the last two years that it indicates he's being heavily pressured to say and do things he doesn't believe in, and eventually as a man of honor he won't be able to take it any more.

Probably won't happen, but it's an interesting long shot.

Sounds like you don't know much about General Colin Powell. He, as are most soldiers, is against war, but understands the necessity of it. If Powell didn't believe in what he was saying, he would have stepped down long ago in my opinion.

It took Powell 7 years to 'come out' as a Republican and I feel he's being pushed a little too.

Oh well, no matter. Like it or not, I know many GOP'ers who would never vote for him. He'd never make it out of the primaries.

Akronn you always refer to the "I know these people and I know xxx many of this people and blah blah blah", as if it actually matters who you know, considering it's < .00000000000000000000001% of the American population that you know.

Anyways, I don't feel that Powell would run for President, I'm just stating that if he did, he'd win, and win big.

Again, Powell would get creamed. I don't know what's so difficult to understand here. He's a yes-man ass. He even presented fabricated evidence to the UN and passed it off as real. Now you can look at that one of two ways:

a.) he's an idiot that doesn't know fact from fiction

b.) he tried to decieve the world community

Those are your only two options and neither makes him look very capable.

And as far as my knowing X people who say 'blah blah blah,' does it really upset you that your fellow GOP card carriers would betray Powell? It's kind of like a poll... it's just a sample. But if 90% of the people I know don't consider him a viable candidate, what are his odds overall? It's highly doubtful that I know everyone who doesn't take him seriously, and at the very least it throws your 'everyman' description out the window.

Are your friends a statistical valid sample?

Akronn, do you walk around with paper towel tubes sticking out from each of your eyeballs? Cuz thats how it seems you view the world, very narrowly.

What 'fabricated' evidence did he present? You know nothing about the CIA or military intelligence. I don't know a lot, but I have worked with the people who analyze this type of information on a daily basis, and they do take their jobs very seriously. When WMD are found in Iraq, what will your response be?

Frax, when WMD are used/found in Iraq it will all just be a conspiracy set in place by the US government to validate its actions.

See? See? Can't you see? It's all so very obvious! Right, Akronn?
