Last time I played my warlock (lvl 20), I remember grouping with 3 other warlocks and xp'ing. I seem to recall dots such as immolation stacked with each other, but there seemed to be a 6-spell max on mobs. Or somewhere around there.

So if all 3 warlocks put 3 spells each (2 dots and a curse), it should be 9 total effects but I only saw 6.

Is this a UI limitation or a game mechanics one?

UI limitation as far as I know. They should all stack I think, I could be wrong Sad I've noticed on mobs though when I debuff with faerie fire during raids and there's already the max buff limit (as per the UI), it's shown as overwriting other buffs, same with when people have too many buffs like a tank and then I throw on a rejuv etc.

Yeah that's what I mean. It overwrites other spells. I am guessing a good test would be to use the warlock Curse of Recklessness. Put it on a mob which flees as the first debuff, then drop all stuff normally. It lasts 2 minutes. If mob flees when low health, recklessness is gone.

if this was true i think someone would have noticed it already.. the game is pretty heavily parsed by everyone so i think it woulda been found.
