Lots of action, very few slow parts, actually. Don't know that I like Russell Crowe as a blonde, but I do like the long hair :p

Actually, there are several characters that make the movie good I just happen to like Crowe..don't think I have seen a movie with him in it that I did NOT like <shrug>

Russell Crowe is actually a very good actor, it's just that most males are uncomfortable admitting a good looking actor can also be talented. Not your fault, it's in the genetics and hard to suppress.

i HATED THIS MOVIE. Don't watch it, wow it was so boring. The dialogue is so mumbles and slurred on top of that it's thick sea jargon so whenever they tak it just sucks. I can't explain how much i disliked this movie. The best part was when it ended cause it was finely over.

nice stalker. I watch movies for 1 reason and 1 reason only - Entertainment. If a movie is boring, it's crap. Some people may say, well what about the story or plot, etc,etc. If they enhance the entertainment value fine. But there is no reason to see a movie for the story, if you are so interested in great stories then look to books, thats what they do best!
In conclusion, Master and Commander was boring. 1/10

Maybe you shouldn't have gone. They said it was a thinking movie, meaning you actually had to pay attention.

HELLO, I SAID THIS. The story DIDN'T make the movie ineresting. On top of that each action sequence was cut to shit so all they showed is 0.2 second clips, then showed 500 of them. There was absolutely no cohesion in the battle. ( don't say it was supposed to be chaotic, no shit, the movie only made it seem like that becuase it was poorly filmed)
Straight up the movie was boring. Liking Terminator 3 and Matrix 2 doesn't make my opinion invalid. It just shows that they were entertaining movies, I assure you that Terminator 3 had a terrible storyline. That did not make it a boring movie, if it had a better one it would of been even better.
The most a "thinking movie" can hope to accomplish is be as good as an action ridden novel.
If you watch movies for intellectual stimulation, that only assures that you are an idiot. Wait, I disagree, Master and Commander was Sooooo intellectually stimulating, I NEVER KNEW about naval warfare! Or NATURALISM!!, OMG WHO IS NAPOLEON???
