I don't necessarily watch BBC America's news...I do watch their programming, however..and in the wee hours of the morning, television selections, in general, are slim 
It was on a movie review show, Talking Movies.

yeah this movie looks great.
apparently the french version, the one that gat played at cannes, had the penguins speaking dialogue. The audience said they loved the footage but thought that talking penguins was corny.
so they remastered it with Morgan Freeman and made it a more orthodox documentary.
