About maps, I've heard people talk about other people making sky maps of some sort? Like, images that when seen from the map view spell out stuff, or make pictures? Anyone know how this is done, and how big a map you need / can use? Screenshots, perhaps? I'm just curious, of course. Thanks!

Well, it's done basically the way you described it, by rezzing freakish big letters and spreading them around the area. There's also a utility that does this work for you automatically, through "procedural reproduction of a bitmap image, pixel by pixel, rendered in 3D cubes." See here: http://www.qarl.com/qLab/?p=17
