Seriously though...
EQ releases buggy expansion.
Players play it and find a bug.
EQ bans them and they lose their characters.
Exploiting is wrong, but banning accounts sounds abit anal to me. There are other alternatives.

The NO DROP trade via Shared Bank exploit had nothing to do with MacroQuest whatsoever.

Here is just one "glitch" that I know of...
Transfering No-Drop Items Between Your Character....Must be on the same account though.
First;
Have one bag in your shared bank empty
Fill up the your inventory slots with bags, except for the bottom right slot.
Second;
Go to Shadowhaven, or any potions vendor (Shadowhaven is the most convienent though) and purchase 2-3 "CRIMSON POTIONS" (or any INSTANT potion) these are about 10-15pp a piece.
Third;
Head to any of the Bazaar Bankers (or any other banker, just using baz because of Shadowhaven).
Fourth;
Put ONE Crimson Potion in your bottom right inventory slot, that should be empty, and have the Item you wish to transfer on your cursor.
Fifth:
Right click on the potion to drink it and AS SOON as you right click on the potion LEFT CLICK to switch the potion with your item.
This may take a few trys to perfect, and if done correctly the item will transform into the potion.
Sixth;
THIS STEP MUST NOT BE SKIPPED
Put the potion back into your empty inventory slot and right click on it a few times.
Seventh;
Now talk to the banker and put the potion into your Empty Bag in the shared bank.
Eight;
All that is left to do now is log on to your other character, ON THE SAME ACCOUNT, and check the shared bank. The original item will be there and once you take it out ot the bank it will act like anyother no drop item.
P.S. If the item disappears from the shared bank or is not there DO NOT FRET the item will be on the cursor or in the inventory of the original character.
...Also dont go running around at lvl 1 with your epics...thats just asking for trouble...
I have heard of ways to dupe your weapons through a disarm glitch but I have never tried it.
It required you to have all your slots full and an item on your cursor, then some rogue or monk disarms you. Then APPARENTLY you should have 2 weapons...if this was real it is probably fixed by now.
As for lvling, I lvled my twink ranger from 1 to 51 in two days through pling with my 65 enchanter. Without pling it would have took me probably a few months...but 4 years and still not 15+ is out of this world.

How the hell do people figure this stuff out?
It would be funny to post the more recent no-drop exploit if it still works just to see how many people would rush out to do it and then get banned.

i got my uncles account banned trying some things I had read about using MQ. He wasn't happy. It was cool though being a lvl 1 monk with 10,000+ HPs hitting for big dmg. Took me like 18 hours to get to 52 before i got nabbed

Last I heard, it was people duping no-drop augments and putting them on toons that were of too low a level to even zone into the places where the augments drop....

The shared bank crack is what got people banned. Alot of petitions were entered about people popping up all over who shouldn't have been able to, but that is harder to prove as it is attributable to lag.
People were putting Anguish/Qvic etc items into sharedbank, as well as Dodh mission reward items that have no level rec/req on them, and their low level toons were sporting them when they did a serverside check. All found to have done this were kicked and banned, or could not log back in once they logged out.
You get what you play for.

Only MQ bannings ive heard of is for explictly exploiting... aka warping in a wall and killing something cause it cant get you... if i remeber right osmoen did this in Sol Ro or Sssra and kileld some named this way and when the mob was at 1% 45 minutes into it the GM came in and was like WTF are u doing Mr bard? And he got suspended for a month... =P

This took place the other night. On all servers. Buncha people are banned. When they asked, they were told they had "violated the play nice policy".
When I asked a GM friend on another server, I was told it is explicitly people who put no drop items on toons who could not possibly have looted the items, using the sharedbank crack to do it, or who had no drop items in a shared bank slot at all.
Sadly, even if I decided to cheat in that fashion, my gear is so s****y as to not be worth the effort of learning how. God that is depressing.
