Lose Village was a good one. Spawn at the US Heli bases, grab a .50 cal, and set up shop behind their factory base, and 1 shot anyone that comes into view

did you ever see my unreal tournment mod that had the arena zone playable as a badass domination map, the very center platform was the control point, it owned for like 16 people.

did you ever see my unreal tournment mod that had the arena zone playable as a badass domination map, the very center platform was the control point, it owned for like 16 people.

No shit, dude. But I'm talking infantry only. Maybe light vehicules like hummers, jeeps for squad transportation. Just no form of armor period.
Think in the terms of 16player Karkand but with no Abrams and T90s.
Hopefully somebody will release a somewhat decent conversion of Lost Village from DC. Would be nice to see true open-wide tank/airmaps aswell similar to El Alamein and Medina Ridge.
Oh well, Insurgency is getting closer and closer to release

Its basically house to house fighting in an urban environment. The kind of fighting that is going on in Iraq at the moment. Not really conventional by old standards.
Military Operations in Urban Terrain is what the letters mean I think.

Yeah my favorite map is Strike at Karkand, it's the best infantry map, only 1 armor per team (+1 apc on USMC), and no helis.
Best anti-infantry weapon in the game is the grenade launcher, I wreak havok w/ that thing on Karkand
And what is 'Insurgency'? New game? mod?

High quality "realism" infantry mod for HL2, being dev'd by some of the folks who modded Red Orchestra for UT2k3/4.
www.insurgencymod.net , they don't show much on the front page because they are trying to keep the hype down.. The juicy stuff requires you to register on their forums and it looks amazing. Sadly much better then any of the crap that has been put on retail lately.

I thought the same thing the first couple days I played it. But after I got the hang of it, it turned out to be a pretty kickass mod. Played it for a month or two strong before getting sidetracked by CSS :P

I loved RO, the first beta releases where kinda bleh.. actually the first UT2k3 release was down right horrible. When it moved over to UT2k4 and Nvidia's 1million dollar competition started the mod started to get pretty good tho, I believe they won that competition in the end.
I'm thinking this mod is going to be somewhere around AA in quality but without the b******t training maps and stuff. It is most definitly a mod to keep an eye on.
As for the release date it is about a month out till the first beta release/demo. As for TF2 (there is no such thing as TFC2, TFC was just a simple conversion of Quake Team Fortress to showcase what the HL1 SDK could do), Valve probably wont start showing any media on it till well after DoD:Source, Aftermath and Lost Coast go live. Rumor mill says that they dropped the orignal "military theme" they had instore for TF2 and are going to go with a direct sequal to the gameplay style of Quake Team Fortress (or TFC).
