An interesting idea has spawned between me and one of the klubbheads DJ's over vodka in russia (where all ideas spawn  ).
What would the copyright problems be?
See if you make a mmo video and put some random song to it companies like Blizzard dont seem to mind, they even post them on their website.
There seem to be no copyright problems at all.
Now what would be the case if me and a DJ create a single, then make a wow video to promote it?
Would we have to pay blizzard for the rights to use the images?
Or would blizzard have to pay us since we are giving them airtime on TV
Anyone have some insights?
(we are going to contact blizzard but i figured i'd get some ideas ahead of time...)

if it's for fun and free exhibition, most companies don't tend to care: it's free promotion for them.
if you intend to make money from it (directly), there will be problems and you will need permission, which isn't likely to be granted without an expensive licensing agreement.
