Anyone else download the 450mb install file.. install it, and then have to patch an additional 450mb? WTF why didn't they just have the current version available?

Because the Beta started on the 15th, and they've taken feedback from testers and patched.
Last week the update was only 280mb, and another 50'ish meg yesterday. :p
They're doing what they're supposed to during betas. Patching based on feedback.
